She does not preach. She commands. And from the darkness beneath her robes, the swarm obeys.
The Priestess of the Swarm rises from the Underdark like a fever-dream made flesh. Robed in flowing ceremonial vestments that trail across shattered stone, her silhouette is deceptively serene — until the eye moves upward. From behind her cloaked shoulders, a crown of jagged insectoid limbs erupts outward: chitinous, barbed, and twitching with unseen purpose. A necklace of clustered eggs adorns her chest, worn as devotion made ornament. Her hooded face bears only the barest suggestion of features — a stitched jaw, the hollow where eyes might once have been — and yet she faces you as if she sees everything. One hand reaches forward, fingers spread in summoning or blessing. The other hangs at her side, patient and inevitable.
Every detail of this miniature is sculpted to reward the painter's brush: the layered folds of her gown catching shadow between each crease, the segmented texture of each arachnid appendage radiating from her back, and the rubble-strewn scenic base scattered with cocooned remains that hint at how many have come before your players. This is a character with lore baked into every surface.
For Dungeon Masters running horror-laced campaigns, cults of the deep, or Underdark factions, this miniature is a centrepiece encounter figure. Place her at the head of a brood cult, the apex of a spider-goddess religion, or the final transformation of a corrupted NPC the party once trusted. For players, she makes a striking and unforgettable character model for a Warlock with a monstrous patron, an aberrant-touched Sorcerer, or a Cleric who serves something ancient and hungry.
Designed by TPK Labs and available in 32mm, 40mm, 54mm, and 75mm scales, she scales beautifully from standard tabletop play to display centrepiece.
- Your players descend into the ritual pit — she stands at the altar, arms raised, the floor alive beneath her feet with clicking, scuttling things.
- A missing noble's heir was taken months ago — when the party finally finds them, they are cocooned at her feet, and she seems surprised anyone came.
- The cult has been leaving offerings at a collapsed temple entrance — the Priestess emerges only when the moon is swallowed, and tonight the sky goes dark.
- She was once a respected scholar of divine magic — the party finds her journal, and the final entries beg someone to stop what she is becoming.
