Argorath is no wandering hedge witch — he is a man who has walked the long road between faith and obsession and emerged from the other side wearing robes that smell of incense and old blood. Bald, gaunt, and sharp-featured, he raises a skull-topped chalice toward something unseen above him, his lips parted in either prayer or command — the line between the two lost to him years ago. His flowing monastic robes hang heavy with hidden weight, and strapped at his side is an ornate reliquary box embossed with a skull medallion: locked, always locked. His free hand curls in a subtle gesture of binding or release — it depends entirely on how the night ends.

The scenic base tells its own story: a stack of forbidden tomes towers behind him, a candelabra drips wax over a decorated urn, scattered candles and relics surround his feet, and a skull rests nearby like an old colleague. This is a man who does not travel light because he cannot — the rituals follow him.

For Dungeon Masters, Argorath is a gift. Run him as a corrupted cleric who has mistaken necromantic power for divine favour, a cult leader mid-ceremony when the players crash through the door, or a centuries-old lich who has kept one last mortal guise to deceive the faithful. For players, he makes an extraordinary Necromancer, Warlock, or Death Domain Cleric — a character built from conviction, not chaos.
