The ocean does not warn you. It simply opens its jaws.
From fathoms no light has ever kissed, the Sea Worm erupts — a colossus of segmented hide, writhing tentacles, and a maw wide enough to swallow a vessel whole. Its armored body coils in the churning surf, barnacle-rough and ancient, each ridge and spine a testament to millennia spent hunting in the dark. A doomed wooden ship is caught mid-destruction in its grasp, crushed between whip-like appendages that curl with terrible patience. This is not a creature that attacks. It consumes. It ends things.
Designed by Jukes3D Studio and offered through Primal Collectibles, the Sea Worm is a multi-piece resin miniature of staggering ambition. The main body coils around a dynamic ocean-spray base, with segmented dorsal plating that transitions from jagged, stone-like scales along the trunk to smoother, more horrifying organic texture near the gaping head. A cluster of sucker-lined tentacles erupts from the creature's throat, wrapping around the hull of a splintering ship — a detail that transforms this piece from a monster into a moment. Every plank of that doomed vessel is individually textured. Every sucker is perfectly formed. The circular base captures crashing waves mid-motion, giving the entire composition a breathless, cinematic energy. Available in both 32mm and 75mm scale, the 32mm version towers massively over standard player miniatures, as shown in the scale reference image. At 75mm it becomes a centrepiece that commands the entire table.
For Dungeon Masters, the Sea Worm is the encounter players will describe years later. Place it at the climax of a nautical campaign — the moment the party's ship lurches, the lanterns swing, and something surfaces beneath them. For collectors, this is a display piece of genuine artistry, equally at home on a shelf as it is on the table.
— The party's vessel has been at sea for three days when the water turns black beneath the hull — something enormous circles below, and the tentacles arrive before they can turn the ship around.
— A coastal city offers desperate gold to anyone who can lure the creature away from the shipping lanes — but getting close enough means sailing directly into its feeding ground.
— The creature isn't attacking the ship by chance — it is retrieving something locked in the cargo hold, something the party was hired to deliver to a buyer who never explained what it truly was.
— An ancient sea cult reveres it as their god, and the party discovers that the sailors it has taken alive are not dead — they are being kept in a vast underwater lair, offerings yet to be consecrated.
