Chimera Boss Mini | Territorial Beast Miniature | Lion Body with Serpent Tail and Horned Crown | By DM Stash

$19.99

The plains go quiet before it arrives. Not from distance — from instinct. Every living thing within half a mile has already fled.

The Capricalion is not merely a chimera — it is a territorial apex predator twisted further by something older and fouler than natural fury. Captured from the windswept grasslands of Belfrie's northeast, this particular specimen carries plague within its blood. Its three-headed mass — dominated by a roaring lion's mane, flanked by a snarling secondary feline face, crowned with curling goat horns — conveys raw aggression locked in motion. One massive clawed forearm reaches forward as though mid-swipe, while a thick serpentine tail coils outward behind it, tongue forked and ready. The fur flows in deeply sculpted waves across its muscular frame, and the creature's stance — low, forward-leaning, weight shifting onto its front — speaks of a beast that does not wait to be attacked. It attacks first. It always attacks first.

The sculpt is rendered in exquisite high-detail resin at 32mm scale, classified as a Huge creature for tabletop RPG purposes. The scenic base captures shattered rock and debris beneath its clawed feet, as though the ground itself could not bear the weight of what now stands upon it. This is a centrepiece monster — one designed to stop a session in its tracks the moment it hits the table.

For Dungeon Masters, the Capricalion offers rich encounter potential beyond raw combat. The plague mechanic embedded in its lore — a curse that lingers long after the beast is felled — gives you narrative leverage across multiple sessions. Players who think they've won may find the wound on their character's arm beginning to fester a week of in-game time later. For players, this makes an unforgettable landmark enemy: the chimera they almost didn't survive.

For Pathfinder GMs and OSR referees alike, the Capricalion's visual design is system-agnostic. Its silhouette reads immediately as a multi-headed, plague-carrying beast of enormous size — no rules text required.

-The party crests the hill and sees it — standing over the carcass of something far larger than any of them. It hasn't noticed them yet.
-A local warlord has been using the Capricalion as a living siege weapon, kept barely restrained by plague-suppressing alchemical collars — the party is tasked with either freeing or destroying it.
-One of the characters took a claw to the arm three sessions ago. The wound won't close. The village healer looks alarmed.
-The chimera isn't hunting prey — it's been driven from its territory by something worse, and it's heading straight toward the nearest town.
